Frequently asked questions

Mixing and Mastering

What type of music do you Mix and Master?

We work on all genres and in Any Language! Everthing from Rock to Hip-Hop, Electronic Dance Music to Country, R&B to Classical, Reggae and much more!

What is a clean version?

A clean version or “radio edit” is precisely that, an edited version of your song that’s clean from any laungage the FCC doesn’t approve for Radio, TV, Film, Video Games, etc.

Why should I have my song Mastered?

Without Mastering, your song might be too low or even too loud and when DJs and Radio Stations spin your record, you want it to meet the standard volume of today’s biggest hits, without sounding distorted.

Why should I have my song Mixed?

Mixing is the glue that holds a record together. Engineers strive to give the best rough mix they can after they record a song, but more time needs to be spent making sure all of the levels are accurate and they didn’t miss anything in the studio.

What's the difference between Mixing and Mastering?

Mixing is the process by which all of your tracks: kick, snare, vocals, bass, synth, guitar, etc are all combined and blended by means of levels, equalization, compression and other effects into a summed two channel stereo Wav file. Mastering is the final step of audio post-production. The purpose is to balance sonic elements of a mix and optimize playback across all media formats. Mastering is done using tools like eq, compression, limiting and stereo enhancement. When mastering an LP the engineer will make sure all of the songs are at the same volume.
